Spa Day

In honor of summer, spa treatments, and needing a girls day out, I planned a fun spa day for all my girlfriends. Since we never get to lay out and just relax, and never have time to go to the spa, I decided to host a party to accomplish both of those things. I had a facialist and a masseuse that I knew come to the house and I invited my friends over for a fun relaxing day. We had spa treatments (at great prices), ate yummy lunch, drank spa water, and relaxed with cucumbers over our eyes and read trash magazines. It was so much fun! I think it will have to be an annual event!

A little spa water and pop culture magazines! We need to stay updated on our pop culture! There is never time for that!

What is a Girl's Day Out without food & fresh fruit, right? Conni Chavez and Lori Coggins lounging by the pool!
Cucumbers to help reduce the puffiness in our eyes. Ha ha!
Melinda Sundberg and Ana Hunt hanging out in the pool.
Vanessa Sant was our facialist for the day. I didn't get a picture of Heather Willardson, but she was our massage therapist. The services were amazing!
Don't we look ten years younger after our facials? Well, maybe Amber does!

It was such a fun day out with the girls! A much needed "Mom's Day Out!" It couldn't have been more perfect. Food, Friends, Massages, Facials, & Sun!

"Sail Away" - Gourmet Club

Hillary and Nannette's Gourmet Club was so amazing! I felt like I was dreaming or in a movie the whole day. I had never been sailing and it was so magical! I loved every minute. The cool ocean breeze, the wonderful food, fresh squeezed berry lemonade, and good friends. What more could a girl ask for? It was definitely a day to remember. Thanks Nannette & Hillary! So memorable...

This is the gourmet boxed lunch they made for everyone. Look how cute the fruit is cut into cute shapes!
Me, Malinda, and Laurie arriving at the boat harbor in Long Beach.
45 Ft. Sailboat. Can you believe this thing? Nanette's husband was our Captain. He did a great job. He has been sailing his whole life.

Hillary and I enjoying our slow sail out of the harbor. It was so much fun on the front of the boat!
As you can see, once we were out in the open ocean, we put both sails up and were booking it! Check out the tipping action! There were times when the boat would tip pretty good and scared me a bit. Our captain assured us that we would never tip over, so I tried to take comfort in that! Ha ha! It was so much fun! I hope to go sailing again someday!
